The Swim Starter began with a vow: every child can swim to safety. This is the story of that promise — and the guarantee we built to keep it.
Our founder was a boy when his mother told him they would attend a funeral wake that evening. His childhood friend had drowned in the Kallang River that morning. Nobody had taught him how to swim.
Standing at the coffin, he told his friend, "I regret not teaching you how to swim" — and made the vow that became a life's work.
Decades later, his son joined him on the pool deck. "It is not just about lessons. It is a heartfelt promise to extend my father's coaching legacy."
The school is now two generations deep, built on one promise — kept calmly, warmly, one child at a time.
The vow set the mission, and the mission sets the benchmark: 25 metres — the bare minimum a child needs to swim to safety. A child who falls into water and knows exactly what to do.
If your child can't swim 25m by the end of the program, classes continue free until they can.
The Guarantee exists for one reason: to make the mission certain. You pay for the program — never for the time it takes. If your child needs longer, the extra classes are on us — so you are never paying on, week after week, wondering if the results will come.
